After short delays leaving both Jacksonville and Miami, we arrived safely in Port-au-Prince just 10 minutes late. The whole team agreed that it was the smoothest that Immigration and Customs has ever been. Rusty and Nick met us and we were off to buy food and travel out to Cabaret without incident.
There were lots of hugs and smiles as veteran Haiti mission trippers renewed old friendships and the first-timers made new life-long friends. We were able to meet with Pastor Nathan and his new converts class and after a wonderful meal we unpacked, sorted and repacked the 18 duffel bags we brought down with us.
We just finished our team meeting and discussed our Tuesday plans. Now, as I type, we are being serenaded by some of the children. We are pretty tired out. Ben is nodding off to my right and we will all be turning in early tonight.
Thank you all for your prayers for safe travel. Please continue to pray for us throughout the week as we seek to accomplish all that God has for us.
