What is that??? I guess it's a river, but people are bathing and washing clothes in it. I see pigs rummaging through the piles of garbage dumped along the banks. Donkeys and livestock are drinking from it... I even see people filling barrels for their drinking water :-( Is that where that awful smell is coming from?









Or maybe this is it... a place where garbage is dumped and burned by the side of the road for miles and the air is always filled with the thick, nasty smoke. Here people and animals plunder through the mounds trying to find something they can use, eat or sell. Maybe I'll just try not to breathe for the next 30 minutes til we get to the mission. I hope I never see another granola bar, ever.






Finally our Home, sweet, home for the next week or so. It's good to get out of the van & stretch my legs. I never thought it would be good to be inside a wall with wire on top and where there's a guy with a gun patrolling the grounds.
