The ladies on the team finished up outfitting the kids who live at the Cabaret orphanage with new clothes, socks and undergarments, while other ladies on the team painted the scenery on the walls of the new playroom for the younger kids. The walls have sprung to life with colorful flowers, brilliant banana trees, buzzing bees, massive mountains, blades of grass, a crowing rooster (very appropriate)and yes, even a little red lady bug. The men on the team were very busy building and installing a door for the school, sealing the windows of the new classroom, which was funded by San Jose Baptist Church, picking up trash, finishing the concrete on the floor of the school as well as installed flood lights at the church. Later in the evening, the team celebrated November birthdays for several kids in the orphanage. Cupcakes dripping with thick white frosting and brightly-colored jelly beans were given out to all the kids, plus each kid received a goody bag from the San Jose team, filled with toy cars, jewelry, hair accessories, snacks and candy!

Working for the Lord
The San Jose Baptist Church team awoke today to another beautiful sunrise! Most of the team starts their day pretty early, around 5:45 a.m., since the sun comes up so early here in Haiti and your alarm clock--all the local roosters--wake up really early too!!
