Wilfrid is Home- Hurrah!

Yaaay! Wilfrid is home...
he has a wicked virus that saps your strength- a flu-like bug. He's still quite weak & shaky, but should be good as new in a week or so after he gets lots of rest and fluids.

We had some visiting Americans pop in before 7:30 this morning, but we love showing off our sweet children and they were very interested in seeing all the "man-stuff" Rusty's so proud of- like our solar panel system, etc. He left to take them to the airport and spend the day doing our monthly bulk supply purchase.

I spent a couple of hours at the school observing, conducting a mini-lesson for the teachers, stocking supplies & listening.

You never know what a day in Haiti will bring. In the last hour I have

·  *       met w/ the headmaster to discuss testing schedule, promotion, failing students, aged students, needs,  & calendar items

·  *       given birth control to 5 women & spent time discussing family & women’s issues w/them

·  *       sang and danced w/toddlers & gave instruction to nannies

·  *       met w/family of sick child –mama previously came in requesting we receive child. Made copy of hospital letter and reviewed w/ family rep.

·   * settled dispute between 2 children

·   *       found clothespins for the laundry workers

If YOU were here you could have helped with the family planning & witnessed to those ladies,

.  ...or YOU could have helped in a classroom and demonstrated some simple teaching methods,

...or YOU could have sang & played games with the toddlers, teaching the nannies how to love the children while teaching them,

...or YOU could have talked w/ a couple of boys about love & forgiveness,

.   ...or You could have provided some clothespins & helped w/ the laundry while spending time  loving on a couple of ladies w/ true servant hearts.

Won't you come & experience  this crazy, busy place where  God uses any and all of us to  show  His unconditional love &  be His hands in Haiti?

      Well, that hour is over...

     on to the next!
