10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Ephesians 6: 10 - 13

2008 has been a year of adversity, but with God’s armor and in His mighty power He has brought us success and deliverance over and over again.

We have lived under the shelter of God’s hand of protection both in the US and in Haiti and have been abundantly blessed.

Some of our family blessings include:

  • ·       We have had work, and strength and health to do that work, at a time when many people can’t find work.
  • ·       We have loved on the grandchildren as we have helped with their care while their mommies taught school.
  • ·       Sarah is driving now and growing into a remarkable young lady.
  • ·       A new granddaughter expected in 2009.

We have experienced blessing in Haiti through:

  • ·       Protection through physical and spiritual storms.
  • ·       Giving assistance to others affected by flooding and disaster.
  • ·       Progress in the school.
  • ·       Maturity of the children.
  • ·       New leadership among staff.
  • ·       Many teams and visitors.

As we look back on the year we also count you, our family and friends, among our blessings. We would not be able to serve our Lord or be in ministry without your prayers, encouragement and support.

We would like to take this opportunity to say Thank you and to wish each of you a very Blessed and Merry Christmas.
