TEAMWORK

I believe the work of God is going & growing because of all the Teamwork involved. People are following God and answering His call to be involved and a part of His Haiti team. Where do we see the work of these teams?

Mission Teams- We see individuals coming together to build teams to accomplish all the hard work of the mission. We already have mission teams scheduled for most months in 2007! What are these teams of people doing? Everything! They are involved in evangelism, pastor training, children’s ministry, construction, maintenance & repair, education, teacher training and medical. Visiting teams have worked on all of these things already this year and much more is planned for the months ahead! If your church doesn’t already have a mission trip to Haiti planned it’s not too late to get in on these life-changing events.

Support Teams- None of this could be accomplished without the support of our faithful sponsors. We have already gained some new sponsors this year – Thank you! We still have many children without sponsorship and have to turn children away daily due to lack of funding. Not only do our sponsors and participating churches give faithfully, but they also fill in gaps gathering needed supplies that would otherwise have to be purchased. Many individuals and groups have begun drives to help collect clothes, shoes, school supplies, baby formula & milk money, peanut butter, vitamins & worm medicine – just to name a few! This will go a long way in stretching our resources and making it possible to meet many more needs. It will soon be time to prepare for next school year with needs of books, uniforms and teaching supplies. Ask how you can be involved!

Expansion Teams- We thank God for all the opportunities to speak about the mission in Haiti to many groups and in many settings. The word is getting out through Sunday school classes, Wed. night Bible studies, home fellowships, Sunday morning worship, puppet ministries and small meetings. JBA- Haiti has been presented not only all over Jacksonville, but also elsewhere in Florida, in Macon, GA and in a few cities in South Carolina- just in February! Have you told your friends and your church about all the amazing things going and how lives are being changed and saved through the work of the mission?
