Rusty set out yesterday early to go as far as the washed out bridge at Montrois and transport the orphanage children from Gonaives that will be our guests here at the Bercy orphanage until they can find housing & relocate their orphanage. He returned with 3 truckloads of children and several adults to help out.

We are now home (at least temporarily) to 4 new adults and 52 new children !!

This is 3 adults who came with the children. The lady in the front is Viola.

The first order of business was bathtime. We made a kind of assembly line with Nannies washing, drying, lotioning, powdering & finding clothes for all 52 children.
Next, we made beds.... lots of beds.
Then it was dinnertime- 1st our cook almost passed out from seeing that many hungry mouths... then she almost passed out from heat & exhaustion!!!

After some playtime & getting to know you time, there were special treats for everyone.
I made 96 cupcakes and could have used 96 more it seemed.

Wilfrid is doing a great job being in charge & PaPa to a hundred children. We are so proud of him.

When the cupcakes had all been gobbled up... you know in 10 seconds... we gathered around for a family night time with singing & Bible story & bedtime prayers.

It was a good 1st night to what we hope are many more good nights ahead.
Please keep these precious little children in your hearts & prayers
