7And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven.
9The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. 10Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:

"Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.
11They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
12Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short."

Revelation 12: 7- 12

Yesterday was a wonderful day filled with praising, singing, and laughter. In addition to our own team from South Carolina we had Barbara Walker of Reach Out to Haiti join us along with her 3 American visitors. Pastor Glenn spoke on the hope & assurance we have in Jesus in spite of our circumstances. Two young people were saved.
It was a hope -filled and inspiring day.

I saw evidence of our victory through Him 1st through this little one at the morning service. Natalie has suffered a lot in her young life. She was brought to us by the police about a year ago after being abandoned in the market. She is developmentally delayed and emotionally handicapped. Usually she is too disruptive to attend church or school. Mrs. Pat sent a pretty new pink dress to her. Natalie was so proud of her new dress and excited she was able to sit quietly through the service. She looked just like any other little girl. I was so happy for her and proud of the progress she's made.

Later, after enjoying lunch with Pastor Nathan and all of our guests, we took our team and older children for an afternoon beach outing. What fun to get away from daily pressures and enjoy God's creation.

Rusty and the men snorkeled around the reef looking at amazing underwater creatures and bringing starfish, urchins and puffer fish in for the children to enjoy. The children worked on their swimming lessons and then played a game of soccer before we had our picnic. There were beautiful bright yellow birds nesting overhead in the trees. Haitians call these birds "Madame Sarah"?
We headed home after a brief shower and were blessed with the rainbow of promise pictured above. Pastor Glenn and I walked around to Madame Oje's home to check on her. She is recovering from a fall and possible broken ribs and seems to be doing better. She is very concerned so we spent quite a bit of time talking and praying with her. Then back home where we finished up dinner before heading off to evening worship. Another great service of Praise & Power, then we unpacked our duffel bags (finally) and spent some time reflecting on all God has shown us before heading off to catch some zzzz's.

A truly blessed day.
