A couple of months ago I posted about a man in our village named Xantus. Xantus had a gangrenous knee and leg for more than a year. We took him to the Dr. thinking that it would probably have to be amputated, but the surgeon said he could surgically debride and treat him at the St. Marc hospital. 
We agreed to help him and sent him with a caretaker for a 3 week hospital stay. Read more about it here. The wound was much deeper and more involved than the Dr. first thought and 3 weeks turned into 2 months. He is home now and is supposed to be coming to see us for dressing changes every couple of days.
Sarah changed the dressing yesterday after he had not had it changed for a few days. I'm surprised she did it because she's quick to tell everyone, "I don't do blood." It wasn't that bloody, but really gross in every other way. What a trooper! 
When asked about it her only response was, "I really don't want to talk about it." It is healing well and looks MUCH better, believe it or not! Please keep praying for Xantus and his full recovery.
