Mackenson Dupervil

Mackenson Dupervil is in our K5 class. His birthday is 2/21/2003- so he's 4 years old.
Mackenson is also one of our own orphanage children. When his mother died last year Mackenson and his siblings went to live with their grandmother. Grandma was already raising some of her other grandchildren, so these additions brought the total number of children in her home to more than 14! Grandma does extremely hard work each day in the banana fields, but had no way to feed so many little ones. Our orphanage director, Micheline, was a close friend of Mackenson's mother and she is also his godmother, so the family asked if we would be able to take him in. We were very happy to accept this sweet natured, shy little boy into our home. We were also able to get help for one of his brothers who needed surgery for hyrocephalus. 11 year old Barthese has recovered from his surgery and is now walking for the 1st time unassisted!
