Marching to Zion!

Well, really we were marching to the mountain church of Terre Noir and back, but it sure felt like Heaven.

We had a wonderful time of worship last Friday. The service itself was great, but after the service the worship & praise didn't stay on the mountain.... we were one great body of singing & praise all the way down- and beyond.

Nathan played his accordion and Rusty blew his trumpet while the rest of us just sang our hearts out. Nathan is amazing. He never stopped playing all the way up and back down the mountain, one hymn right after the other. Oh to be that young and have that much energy again(sigh)!
When we first arrived on the mountain only a handful of people were there and the rough little church benches that sit in the outdoor chapel were nowhere in sight. Some of the men went and found the benches and as we began the service more and more people came to worship with us. They thought since we have a temporary pastor there wouldn't be any mountaintop services. Pastor Nathan really showed them his love for them and his Jesus! Dr. Dan brought the message and then we had a huge prayer circle with our brothers and sisters from the US, from Bercy, and from Terre Noir. It was beautiful.

After the service, Moms with babies were lining up to get a chance to see our "Drs." They had come prepared with fever & cold remedies, antibiotics, and ointments.

We were blessed to be part of such a joy-filled time of pure praise.

That trip back down the mountain was awesome! Pastor Nathan never missed a beat and he certainly doesn't look down at his feet all the time like we do:)
We had a great time!!!!
