The mission team from Mandarin Baptist is gone. They worked us slap to death!! (just kidding) They even left a little something behind to remember them by! ha!ha!
They really were a great, hard working bunch. You would never have guessed it was their 1st trip to Haiti.
We were sad to see them go. We have met so many wonderful folks who have come down on teams this year! We are so blessed!
We spent the afternoon on paperwork, taking care of the kids, and having meetings with employees. While we worked we supervised children playing & using the computer & sewing machine. They are growing up too fast.
The kids really enjoyed their lazy, Saturday afternoon.
Some of them discovered craft projects like stringing beads & coloring...
Nadege and Charlene spent some time practicing on the sewing machine...
Some children played outside in he sunshine...
Older children picked peas for supper and did other household chores...
And of course there is the Saturday Hair Thing!!! A big part of Saturday is getting ready for Sunday and that means hairdos.
Every girl gets fresh braids and yesterday the boys all got haircuts too. I sure do wish I had a picture to show you of how still a wiggly little guy can get when somebody is holding a double-edged razor blade to his scalp!! (calm down! there were no accidents- this is Haiti not the US!)
